Question: Should all straps be invisible?
A. Every part of any outfit that you wear is a chance to further express your inner fashion soul, and bra straps are no exception. As with any outfit, the occasion and outfit style will help guide you in your decision making. If you are trying to emphasize the top or dress you’re wearing without bring attention to the shoulders, then clear bra straps are definitely the way to go. However, if you want to create a bit more color or style for your outfit, or bring attention to the shoulders, then wearing a matching or contrasting color bra strap or clear bra strap with adornments may the best choice. In the end, it’s up to how you want to present yourself.
Question: How do I pick the right color?
A. There are a number of ways to match your straps to your outfit. For a conservative look, simply match the color of the straps to the color of your top. For a more colorful look, match the strap color to some other part of your outfit, such as pants, skirt, etc. You can also use clear bra straps with adornments such as rhinestones to enhance the beauty of a dress or gown. No matter what you choose, the same basic rules of fashion apply: stay away from too many colors at once. Wearing red bra straps with a green top and yellow pants may get you noticed, but it won’t be for your sense of fashion.
Question: Is it OK if my straps are showing?
A. Showing your straps can be tacky or fashionable, depending on your perspective. However, it’s fair to say that wearing a white bra with worn out straps under a black tank top certainly will not win you any fashion awards. Fortunately, there are a number of styles and colors on our site to match any top, or you can create a more distinctive look by wearing a top with complimentary colored straps. For example, if you wear a black tank top with red pants, wearing red fabric bra straps or clear bra straps with red beads might be just the thing to tie the entire outfit together.
Question: Are white straps allowed?
A. As with any color, the issue of wearing white straps depends entirely on the color of the top you are wearing, as well as the overall color scheme of your outfit.
However, regular white bra straps almost never look good with anything because they weren’t designed with fashion in mind. Try a pair of our thin white fabric straps with or without beads to create a more fashionable look.
Question: What should I wear with a halter top?
A. Typically, the best answer is to wear a strapless bra to provide the cleanest look. At times, though, your strapless bra may not look very attractive, or you may need more support. In those cases, a convertible bra with one clear bra strap or a matching color bra strap worn around the neck is the best solution, and still provides a nearly invisible look. Bra Straps.com offers now a very sexy convertible bra that can be used with all our bra strap collection. Click here to see it!
Question: How do I place the straps on my bra?
A. For a bra with interchangeable straps, unhook your old straps, connect your new straps, and you’re done. For a bra without interchangeable straps, you’ll need to do a little work first. Cut each strap at both ends, leaving enough to fold over and sew to the bra, which creates a fabric hook. Then, connect your new straps using the fabric hooks that you just created. Make sure that you use enough thread to securely hold the hook in place, as the bra strap will put a lot of stress on it during regular use.
Question: Do these bra straps break? Are they elastic?
A. All of our straps are made from high quality materials that resist tearing and breaking, and we use high test metal hooks that don’t break like plastic hooks do. When you’re ready to wash them, just use your regular detergent or even hand soap and rinse. Your bra straps will be clean and ready to wear. As for the stretchiness, most of our bra straps are made out of elastic materials that support the weight and give comfort at the same time.
Question: What size are the bra straps?
A. All of our bra straps are fully adjustable to accommodate just about any size.
Q. What is the difference between Pure Perfume, Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette, and Eau de Cologne?
A. The differences are simply a matter of the amount or concentration of oils in the fragrance.
From highest concentration to least, the different forms of perfume are:
1. Perfume is the most expensive and purest form of the scented products, it is sometimes called extract or extrait perfume. It may have 15-40% concentrates in it.
2. Then you have Eau de parfum it may have 7-15% perfume concentrates in it. This is what most people buy, and the most common form of perfume. It has a long lasting scent and is more affordable then the extract perfume.
3. Then you have your Eau de toilette is about 1-6% of perfume concentrates in it. This will not last as long as the stronger versions and has a light scent to it.
4. Eau de cologne sometimes used in place of it is eau de toilette. They are a light, fresh fragrance mixed with citrus oils and was made popular by Napoleon. Some perfumers today have a version of this called eau fraiche.
These are the main classes of perfume, but other products are sometimes scented with small amounts of perfume concentrates too. Lotions, creams, powders, body splashes, aftershaves, soaps, and other cosmetic products.
Remember the higher the concentration the longer your fragrance will last, and the less you need to apply.
In order of concentration :
A. Pure perfume or (parfume)
Note: Solid perfume is as strong as a pure perfume however it is in a gel-like form.
B. Eau de Parfum
C. Eau de Toilette
D. Eau de Cologne
Q. What is the difference between a splash and a spray?
A. The only difference is in the way it is put on .I can’t say for sure but the spray might have a longer shelf life being sealed all the time. Making the decision between spray and splash is entirely a matter of personal preference.
Q. Why do some men wear Cologne, and others prefer to wear After Shave?
A. It is a matter of how it feels to the skin:
After Shave Lotion will usually sting and help close the pores after shaving.
After Shave Balm is actually soothing to the skin.
After Shave Gel soothes the skin, and cools the skin to help relieve razor burn.
Q. How can I keep my fragrance from going bad?
A. You should keep all fragrances in a cool, dry area, and away from windows . An opened bottle should be kept in its box to insure a longer shelf life.
